While very basic, I have found this guide to be accurate and effective for me in identifying trees and wildflowers on my acreage and out in the woods.. To say that this is a serious look at the horrors of human trafficking is disingenuous at best and, at worst, a marketing technique to try and sell a book that otherwise most people would never, ever pick up.. Very disappointing :(. Her cohort, an older boy and relative to the original writer of the Christmas poem, makes for a great partner as they traverse the trials of Poppel together.

In contrast to a lot of YA fiction these days, this story isn't too dark, moody, or violent. I respect Posamentier, and I'm happy to have learned from his book.. It isn't necessary to put a covergirl on the pages of the book, but her disheveled images are a distraction from the intended purpose..
