"Homesick Penguin" is written in simple language to appeal to young readers and has some very colorful and detailed illustrations. I'm not going to ruin the surprise for you, but this book ends with a cliffhanger just like the first one did. All reviewers need to catch up to O'Meara.
In short, this is an excellent book which cuts across the layers of Mad Men and contemporary American culture.. It's a good level for beginners, but it could be even easier for the those who are brand new players.. The best of which are those by Robert Silverberg, William Stout, Philip Currie, and Joe DeVito. I adored how Autumn and Kade work through their issues before they add intimacy to the equation. Alice is wounded and threatens to kill herself, while an impartial observer might say that Edward does in fact show mercy by giving her the house.
Jamie is caught in the middle of all of this, and has to deal with the brunt of the fall out of his father's decision.
